CELPIP test day is an important day in your life. It’s a big step towards achieving your dream of becoming a Canadian citizen, but it can be stressful and intimidating if you don’t know what to expect. Here are some tips that may help ease the stress of taking the exam:
- Prepare well in advance. Many people wait until right before their CELPIP test date to study for it or take practice tests, but this isn’t advisable because there is simply no way to prepare adequately in such little time.
- Start studying at least two months before your exam date so that you have plenty of time to get comfortable with the material and understand how each section works.
What If I Arrive Late on CELPIP Test Day?
If you arrive late for your CELPIP test, it’s important to note that you will not be allowed to take the exam. In addition, if you decide to reschedule or transfer your test date after signing up for one of these services and paying a fee, then there is no refund offered by CELPIP.
If this happens and the day comes when they need an extra person (i.e., someone who couldn’t make it in time), they may ask those who were supposed to take tests today but didn’t show up instead.
If you’re running late, it’s a good idea to call ahead and inform the test center of your situation. This way, they can hold your place for you if possible. In addition, you may be able to reschedule your test date if it doesn’t conflict with any other exams scheduled in advance.
What Happens If I Skip My CELPIP Test Without Canceling Or Postponing It?
If you do not cancel or postpone your CELPIP test, you will be automatically disqualified from taking the exam. You won’t be able to register for another test, and you won’t receive a refund of any kind.
Suppose you fail to cancel or postpone your CELPIP exam within 30 days of receiving notice from Hanover Testing Center (HTC). In that case, HTC will cancel your registration and issue a refund only if all other charges have been paid in full by HTC. If some payments were made but others were not, then only those uncollected funds will be returned as part of this process.
