Step 1:  Check Out The Processing Duration

The time required for a visa to Canada is approximately 12 weeks. It is best to check the website of the Canadian embassy to find out how long it will take to acquire the student visa.

Step 2: Determine Your Application Mode

i .Online Application:

2. Acceptance From A Designated Learning Institution

You will require a letter of acceptance from the college you intend to attend. An Institution recognised by the Immigration Department is referred to as a Designated Learning Institute.

3. Funds Verification

You would be obligated to provide proof of funds when applying for your Study Permit. According to current standards, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover both our tuition and living expenses.

  • Bank account in Canada
  • Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a Canadian financial institution that participates
  • Loan for education or student loan
  • Bank statements for the last four months
  • Draught from a bank (it should be convertible to Canadian dollars)
  • Proof of tuition and housing fees paid
  • Letter from a person or school that has given you money
  • Evidence of funding received from within Canada (in case of a scholarship or a Canadian-funded educational program)

4.  Passport Size Photographs

This is another requirement  for a Canadian student visa howrver,If you choose to apply offline, you will need two passport-sized photographs that meet the requirements. 

For an online application, you must obtain a digital version of the photograph that is no larger than 4MB. Other specifications include a basic neutral face features, a simple background, and no protective eyewear / head gear unless for religious purposes

5. Medical Exam For Immigration (IME)

International students are required by Canadian Immigration to undertake a mandatory Immigration Medical Examination performed by an accredited physician. 

Applicants must schedule an arrangement with one of the registered doctors and visit them for a medical assessment, ideally a week before they begin their Visa application.

 This is to give the doctor enough time to validate and upload the necessary documents. 

It is always advisable to schedule a visit ahead of time with the closest available facility/ physician from the list of accredited doctors.

The panel physician will conduct a thorough medical examination and may recommend you for chest x-rays and laboratory tests. When your exam is finished, the physician will send the results to CIC.

6. Send An  English Language Proficiency Exam
