Step 7: You will be reviewed by the MPNP and if you meet all minimum qualifications of the MPNP, you will receive a Nomination Letter from the MPNP.

Step 8: With your Nomination Letter, you can apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as a provincial nominee. 

Step 9: IRCC will do a further review that includes medical and criminal record checks.

Step 10: If you are cleared and you receive Permanent Residence Visas, you can begin to make arrangements to move to Morden, along with any family member you applied for.

Exploratory Visit

The exploratory visit lasts for about 5-9 days. The visit is designed to provide you with the necessary information you might need on Morden.

• The time it takes you to obtain a temporary resident visa, 
• The time it takes you to go on the exploratory visit, 
• The length of time it takes the MPNP to process your application ( usually takes 3-6 months)
• The time your local Canadian embassy takes at the federal stage

Government Processing Fees

Applying for the Manitoba Immigration Initiative is free. However, you would be responsible for expenses including travel, feeding, and accommodation if you are invited for a visit. You may also be required to pay IRCC’s processing fees at the federal stage.
